On end of summer, and abusive relationships

So, I’ve been away. And now I’m not anymore. To be honest, I’ve decided to take a break from all things blogging related, in a summer-vacation-spirit-of-things. And it was nice, it let me clear my head, come up with great ideas, and improvements, and…not really. As you might know, improvements are not really my thing. Ranting about different topics is. Also, once you’re past certain age limit your head is never clear, there is always that one thing to stress about. Or that one nagging, shitty idea. Might be just me with this last one. I went to London on...

Some almost serious business talk

I am leaving for vacation today. And I’m super excited, also super exhausted, and sort of looking forward to that 6 hours of uninterrupted sitting. It’s been a month. I’ll be providing trip updates through Instagram, and Twitter. At least that’s the plan right now. Maybe I’ll be enjoying myself so much I won’t share shit, who knows.   But before I go, I wanted to tell you about this event I got to attend on Wednesday night. I got to listen to a lecture given by the entrepreneur Edward Shenderovich on his latest venture Knotel. And initially, I was...

Oysters and the Rope

I have some good news, and bad news. Good news is I’m going on vacation, bad news is you’re not. Or actually you might be going on vacation also, but like not with me. Because that would be weird. I’m going to London, and I am pretty psyched about it. Mostly because literally everybody will be talking with an accent. And British accent is one of my top ten favorite things ever. And I really hope I pick up some, if not, all of that fine accent for the duration of this trip, that way my return back to New...

On color-coded kayaks, and Sunday church dances

You know what’s worse than moving? Moving on top of construction, on top of having 5 other people in the house. Because when something happens in my life, it doesn’t JUST happen, it turns into a shit storm. Liquid form, for an added gross moment. I might be exaggerating, and there are children starving in Africa, but at least they’re not moving. Lucky bastards. Anyway, I’ve been mostly really tired. On a bright side this whole carrying things back and forth is a great exercise for shrinking your butt, and making your body look weirdly asymmetrical.  Beach body was not...

On moving, tax evasion, and some good reads

It has not been fun lately. Like it has been occasionally fun, but an overall feeling has been problems, on top of problems, on top of bills. I’m in the middle of moving, and half of my stuff is at one place and half of it is at the other, and I can’t keep track which is where so my wardrobe decisions have been questionable at best. Like people at work must be wondering whether all of a sudden I went due to an unfortunate gambling accident. Speaking of people at work, do you ever think about how much time...

Read books and drink milk, unless you’re blind and lactose intolerant then probably don’t

First off, ever since I started blogging less my user registration went through the roof. And frankly I’m slightly offended by that. Also, should I take it as a hint? I’m not good with hints since I mostly ignore them, so I might as well ignore this one too. Secondly, it’s been real…messy I guess is the way to put it. I mean what’s with the news? People blowing up each other every single day, Trump getting crazier with every second, and SNL being the best it’s ever been. I’ve never been a fan of SNL, but material just keeps...

Memorial weekend that’s not exactly about remembrance

This memorial weekend I spent terrorizing my future, possible, suburban neighbors. But like in a very nice way. For this to fully make sense you need to familiarize yourself with my previous post first. Yesterday we had a bunch of friends visiting from Brooklyn. And as we were setting the outside table and other applicable food stuffs, the next door neighbors decided to pay a rather unexpected visit. My take is that they were planning on a lecture something along the lines ‘no loud music, behave, and don’t dare distress the peace and quite of this fine white neighborhood.’ But then they seemed somewhat lost...

Mother’s day and a freaking rainbow

I’m in a slightly better mood starting this week, slightly being an exaggeration. But weekends do seem to make things more tolerable for a few hours. And then you catch yourself deleting emails without reading them, totally happened today. But this weekend was relatively good, albeit busy with activities. I finished a small painting for a friend visiting from another country. And she was leaving on Sunday so I felt obligated. And it came out pretty good, but I forgot to take a picture of it. So you’ll just have to take my word for it. Also now supposedly my...

Flat tire, driving ticket, and some Twitter wisdom

Ok, I’m seriously not cool with life right now because it seems to be kicking me in the ass quite a lot lately. To the point that I’m re-thinking of becoming a good person or something. To the point that I’m this close to opening a non-profit for baby gorillas. Because that’s what this world needs: more good people, and baby gorillas. Don’t quote me on this. Anyhow, yesterday might have taken the golden medal, if there was a golden award for being a dick day. It started with rain. The morning started with rain. And it’s hard enough to drag...

Cherry blossoms, Easter, and Trump is still our president

Happy Easter to all people whom this applies to. Because I’m assuming I have a devoted Christian following. Obviously. And my Easter weekend was great. That is relatively speaking, and more on that to follow. Firstly, I haven’t had much time to blog lately, and it doesn’t seem like that will be changing soon. So I’ll do it, when I do it. Because that’s a solid plan, without actually being a plan. Anywho, the weather seems to be warming up finally, and it’s a good thing. Except for all the wardrobe adjustments that now need to happen for ‘when it’s nice...
